On February 18, 2016 at 18:06 hrs., 911 Dispatch received a report of a one vehicle injury accident, located east of Wallace Road on U400.

Upon arriving on scene, emergency responders located a vehicle, a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, on the Neosho River Bridge.  It was determined, the vehicle was traveling westbound on U400, when the driver lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle drifted towards the south, crossing into the opposing lane, and then striking the concrete railing on the south side of the bridge.  The driver, a woman, 37 years of age, of Missouri, had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was treated on scene by EMS and then transported to Joplin Mercy by air.

Due to the location of the incident, U400 was closed between Wallace Road and York Road for approximately 2 hours.
