The responsibility of the Patrol Division is to maintain a safe and orderly environment for citizens and visitors in all areas of Labette County. This unit consists of two Corporals and nine Deputies, all dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the community.

Few would dispute that the deputies assigned to the Patrol Division are the backbone of the Sheriff's Office. These dedicated men and women are the first to respond to calls for help, often arriving quickly at scenes to provide aid and comfort to the injured. They routinely put themselves in harm's way, whether stabilizing a volatile domestic situation or searching dark buildings for dangerous suspects. Their courage and commitment to service are evident in their daily work, which they view as simply part of their job.

The Patrol Division is responsible for responding to all types of emergency and non-emergency calls for service. They advocate for preventative patrol and strive to maintain high visibility in the community as a way to deter crime. Additionally, during the summer months, they conduct patrols at Big Hill Lake, ensuring the safety of visitors and residents enjoying recreational activities. The deputies foster a strong sense of trust and security among Labette County residents, which encompasses a diverse range of communities, from small towns to rural areas. Their efforts contribute to a cohesive environment where residents feel safe to engage in community events, local businesses thrive, and families can enjoy the natural beauty of the region. By prioritizing the safety and well-being of all citizens, the Patrol Division plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life in Labette County.
